Notes

'Zuchau Lavendel' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Zuchau Lavendel') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, ruffled lavender blooms open in early to mid spring and have dark aubergine flares. The semi-double flowers fade to white over time and have some fragrance. Burghard Ebert bred it, and it grows upright and spreading to 60 inches.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Stargazer lily, and Garlic chives.
