Notes
'Zuchau Schneegestöber' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Zuchau Schneegestöber') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Burghard Ebert bred it, and it blooms in early to mid spring. The white semi-double flowers have dark pink flares at the base of frilled, notched petals. New foliage emerges red and matures to green.
Pairs well with Mock orange, Stained Glass hosta, and Nelly Moser clematis.
