Notes

'Zuliema' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Zuliema') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The rich red flowers are fully double and fragrant. It is a seedling of 'Richard Carvel' and has the same color but more scent. Mrs. Ruth H. Brant bred it.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Blue Angel hosta, Sedge, and Bells of Ireland.
