Notes

'Ada Niva' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ada Niva') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep burgundy red flowers have a touch of gold at the center and a slight fragrance. Glossy foliage stays short at 18 inches, and the stems are strong. Albert Niva bred it.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Black Hero tulip, and Japanese spirea.
