Notes

'Age of Gold' peony (Paeonia 'Age of Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The double, ruffled flowers are soft creamy gold with a small red flare at the base of the petals. They are fragrant and rise above foliage that reaches the ground. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1948.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Clustered bellflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
