Notes
'Alba' lily-of-the-nile (Agapanthus praecox 'Alba') is a perennial for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The plant also tolerates salt and stays evergreen.
Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Lucifer montbretia, and Russian sage.
