Notes

'Alexander Woollcott' peony (Paeonia 'Alexander Woollcott') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant, semi-double flowers are crimson with yellow stamens and measure about 5½ inches across. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Clustered bellflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
