Notes

'Alice' oakleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia 'Alice') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, shade gardens, and woodland edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The white blooms fade to pink and appear in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and the leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Christmas fern, Witch hazel, Little bluestem, and Rising Sun Texas redbud.
