Notes

'Alita' clematis (Clematis 'Alita') is a vine for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Red and purple blooms with lighter reverses and yellow anthers appear from early to late summer, with more in early autumn. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Mogens Nyegaard Olesen bred it in 2012.

Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Damask rose, and Hicksii yew.
