Notes
'Elvas' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Elvas') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The white double flowers are edged and striped with deep pink to red. Grow it in a pot outside in summer and fertilize it well. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Agapanthus, Mondo grass, and Frogfruit.
