Notes

'Ambassador' ornamental onion (Allium 'Ambassador') is a bulb for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its purple, six inch spheres attract butterflies and bees, and the leaves may die back just before flowering, which is normal. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Fa. A. Langedijk bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Rose.
