Notes

'Chives' ornamental onion (Allium 'Chives') is an herb for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Lemon balm, Genovese basil, and Sage.
