Notes
'America' iris (Iris 'America') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Fragrant white flowers open in late spring, so plant it near a path or seating area. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants reach 30 to 36 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide.
Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Scentara Double Blue lilac, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Pincushion flower.
