Notes

'Annibel' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Annibel') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tree peonies have woody stems that stay above ground through winter, so skip the hard cutback that herbaceous peonies get. Cut the blooms for vases when the buds begin to open.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Sedge, and Hollyhock.
