Notes

Aureocaulis bamboo (Phyllostachys vivax f. aureocaulis) is a grass for containers and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It is evergreen and drought tolerant. It sits low on the menu for deer. Give it plenty of space because it grows tall and wide.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Daffodil, and Columbine.
