Notes

'Holochrysa' fish-pole bamboo (Phyllostachys aurea 'Holochrysa') is a grass for containers and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It is evergreen, so it keeps its leaves through winter. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it plenty of room to spread.

Pairs well with Azalea, Little Gem southern magnolia, and Society garlic.
