Notes
'Baby Gem' buxus (Buxus 'Baby Gem') is a shrub for borders, hedges, containers, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide in a compact, rounded form. The evergreen leaves give you winter interest, and bees visit the spring blooms.
Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Autumn Frost hosta, and Knock Out rose.
