Notes

'North Star' buxus (Buxus 'North Star') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen, so it adds winter interest, and bees visit its spring blooms. Rabbits tend to pass it by. You can shear it to keep a neat shape.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Christmas fern, and Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta.
