Notes

'Beatrix' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Beatrix') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are single and white, so they show off well in a bouquet or against a dark green backdrop. Auguste Dessert introduced it in 1905.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Hinoki cypress, and Blue fescue.
