Notes

'Beedham' spotted dead nettle (Lamium maculatum 'Beedham') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, loamy soil. It creeps along the ground and grows fast, so give it room to spread. White flowers appear in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Wood lily, and Swamp azalea.
