Notes

'Before The Storm' iris (Iris 'Before The Storm') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The tall, fragrant blooms open in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Lupine, Hardy geranium, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
