Notes

'Bewitched' carnation (Dianthus 'Bewitched') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant light pink flowers with a magenta center ring open in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It stays 6 to 9 inches tall and handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Picture tulip, and Black Beauty peony.
