Notes

'Bilderijk' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Bilderijk') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. E. H. Krelage & Zoon bred it in 1867. You can cut the blooms for a vase indoors. It also fits well in a mixed bed with other plants that like the same sun and soil.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Blue fescue, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Stella de Oro daylily.
