Notes

'Black Hills' hosta (Hosta 'Black Hills') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. Lavender, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with White phlox, Canada wild rye, Artist tulip, and Emerald Green arborvitae.
