Notes

'Blue Angel' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Angel') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It forms a clump about 9 inches tall with fragrant blue-violet flowers in early to late spring, and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Pennings bred it.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Blue fescue, and Heather.
