Notes

'Blue Festival' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Festival') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It stays about 12 inches tall and forms a clump.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Irish moss, and Paula Fay peony.
