Notes

'Blue Giant' glory-of-the-snow (Scilla forbesii 'Blue Giant') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Starry blue flowers with white centers open in early to late spring, often pushing up through the snow. Bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Grape hyacinth, and Big Daddy hosta.
