Notes

'Blue Heaven' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Blue Heaven') is a shrub for borders, hedges, shade gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows fast and tolerates salt. It blooms from early to late summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Japanese forest grass, Astilbe, and Fringed bleeding heart.
