Notes

'Bold Print' iris (Iris 'Bold Print') is a perennial for borders, pathways, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Its ruffled ivory white flowers have purple-blue edges and veining, with light blue beards, and they open from early to late spring. Divide clumps every two to three years just after blooming. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first.

Pairs well with Dr. Alexander Fleming peony, Blue grama, and Spanish bluebell.
