'Bold Statement' iris (Iris 'Bold Statement') is a perennial for front borders, pathways, and rockeries. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The fragrant purple blooms open in early to late spring above stems up to 24 inches tall. Rabbits tend to pass it by. Divide the clumps just after blooming when flowering drops.
