Notes
'Borah' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Borah') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The porcelain blue flowers are single and fragrant, and they rise on long stalks in early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Fire Island hosta, and Red Charm peony.
