Notes

'Bordeau Steel Blue' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Bordeau Steel Blue') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clumping, fragrant mound that is drought tolerant. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Roma greater masterwort, California poppy, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
