Notes

Bristle-leaved sedge (Carex eburnea) is a grass for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy soil. It forms a tuft of thin, wiry leaves. It also suits spots that are damp in spring, especially beneath cedars. Tiny, jet-black seeds appear in fall.

Pairs well with American maidenhair fern, Beech fern, and Sherwood Purple phlox.
