Notes

'Brocade' French marigold (Tagetes patula 'Brocade') is an annual for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It forms a clump 6 to 12 inches tall with fragrant blooms in brown, copper, yellow, orange, and red. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Apricotta cosmos, Lemon Mint monarda, and Zucchini.
