Notes
'Buena Vista' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Buena Vista') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Delicate long purple flower spikes appear from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees. The grey-green foliage is fragrant and stays evergreen. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Silver sage, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
