Notes

'Bumbleberry' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Bumbleberry') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a clumping, fragrant mound that stays about 12 inches tall and handles drought well. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Snowcap Shasta daisy, Yarrow, and Catmint.
