Notes

'Butter and Sugar' iris (Iris 'Butter and Sugar') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. The flowers have yellow falls and white standards, and they open in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The clumps grow 24 to 30 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Royal fern, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
