Notes

California phacelia (Phacelia californica) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. White, blue, or purple flowers open in spring and again in summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Blue-eyed grass, Dwarf checkerbloom, Ookow, and Pearly everlasting.
