Notes
'Calvin Bigger' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Calvin Bigger') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white flowers measure about eight inches across and have extra long petals. Some petals carry red spots. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1991.
Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Japanese spirea, Ostrich fern, and Grape hyacinth.
