Notes

'Candy Floss' carnation (Dianthus 'Candy Floss') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It grows about 12 inches tall and blooms in spring and again in summer. The flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, Early Sunrise largeflower tickseed, Lavender, and Blue fescue.
