Notes

'Cangshan Cranberry' sanguisorba (Sanguisorba 'Cangshan Cranberry') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Dark, purplish-red bottlebrush flowers sit on slender stems above neat mounds of green leaves. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Bees visit the blooms in summer and autumn.

Pairs well with Cytherea peony, Pyrethrum, and Shrub rose.
