Notes

'Carnosa' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Carnosa') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are blush or flesh-pink. They look soft in a mixed border and make pretty bouquets indoors. Kelway bred it in 1889.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Jeana garden phlox, and Sedge.
