Notes
'Carolina d’Italie' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Carolina d’Italie') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are double. Cut stems bring the blooms indoors, and the shrub works well as a anchor in a mixed bed.
Pairs well with Astilbe, Greig's tulip, and Christmas fern.
