Notes

'Cecile' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Cecile') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Salmon pink flowers with a yellow flare open in early to late spring. The blooms are fragrant and attract hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Woodland phlox, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Lady fern.
