Notes

'Chigo-zakura' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Chigo-zakura') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Chugai introduced it in 1934. You can cut the blooms for a vase and still enjoy the shrub in the border.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Sedge, and Irish moss.
