Notes

'Chimera' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Chimera') is a bulb for borders, containers, cut flowers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The white flowers are marked with crimson and open in spring and winter. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. J. Veitch & Sons bred it.

Pairs well with Gladiolus, Mondo grass, and Snapdragon.
