Notes

'China Boy' peony (Paeonia 'China Boy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Its fragrant red flowers are single, with two rows of rounded petals on a short, shapely plant. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Western sword fern, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Carlton daffodil.
