Notes

'Christina' peony (Paeonia 'Christina') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Hermann Krupke bred it, and it makes single red flowers late for a hybrid. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also makes 3 to 4 sidebuds, which is unusual for red hybrids.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Blue-eyed grass, Jackmanii clematis, and Garlic chives.
