Notes

'Cincinnati' peony (Paeonia 'Cincinnati') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deep pink double blooms with silvery edges open in midseason and smell sweet, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Minuteman hosta, Black Hero tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
