Notes

'Coast to Coast' hosta (Hosta 'Coast to Coast') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads at least 24 inches, so give it room. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates salt. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Astilbe, and Bigleaf hydrangea.
